Caleb is now sitting up on his own. I noticed a few days ago that he could stay steady for about a minute and then toppled over. The next day we had his 6 month photos taken (to be posted soon!) and found practice really does make perfect. We kept sitting him up for his pictures and in time he became better at it and stronger. By the end of the photo session he was full-on sitting by himself for several minutes at a time. Now he sits on his own and plays with his toys on the floor beside him. So proud of him! He looks to be on the verge of creeping/crawling, but it may be a while still. He's able to bunch his knees up and reach for things while on his tummy, but he still hasn't quite figured out how to move forward.
He has also started getting some teeth! A couple weeks ago he was gnawing on my finger and I noticed something hard and it hurt! :) Sure enough, a little tooth was poking through! About a week later his second tooth started coming through as well! Poor little guy. I can tell they are bothering him, but he's been such a trooper. I'm hoping he'll get some relief soon. I've tried the teething gel, but he just seems to lick it off.
He also LOVES to shriek! He'll have a little outburst at the most inopportune times-which is why Caleb and I now sit in the "cry room" at church! :) He's definitely a vocal one!
