Visit to see Santa

Yesterday we brought Caleb to the mall to visit Santa for the first time.  I had a feeling he would cry, and boy, did he!  As Matt plopped him on Santa's lap, he burst into tears and an amazing picture was taken to capture the moment.  :)  He was not a happy camper, but Santa was such a great sport as Caleb threw his candy cane at him!  Sheesh!  Doesn't he realize that Santa's the one who brings the good gifts?  Maybe next year...

Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Hooray!  Fall has arrived!  Leaves are changing, there is a brisk chill in the air, and the pumpkin patch is open!  We took Caleb to visit the pumpkin patch along with his cousins who were visiting from Oregon.  The kids had so much fun seeing all the sights and spending time together.

1 Year Old!

Caleb is already 1 year old.  How quickly a year can go by!  He is beginning to walk.  He takes a few steps on his own and then falls, but I'm sure he'll be running around in no time!  He is such a joy and such a happy kid.  I couldn't be more blessed!  Here are some of the latest pictures:

Vacation at Huntington Beach

We recently spent a week in Huntington Beach with family.  Caleb got to meet his cousins Noah and Ava and we got to spend some much needed time together as one big family!  We got to spend some time at the beach, go to an Anaheim Angels game, go to Disneyland, and HAVE FUN!

Father's Day

I just want to give a big shout-out to the best father to our son.  We celebrated Father's Day yesterday and it made me think of how blessed Caleb and I are to have Matt (Daddy) in our lives.  He is one pretty terrific dude.  He is always looking for ways to help me...doing all the chores I hate doing or don't have time to get to.  He does dishes regularly, sweeps, vacuums, and mops when needed, and really anything else I ask of him.  He is a wonderful supporter and my biggest fan.  He works tirelessly to make sure Caleb and I are provided for and our needs are met.  He is continually thoughtful-bringing home surprise Starbuck's drinks on occasion, when I least suspect it but most need it!  :)  He's become a diaper changing master-can get it done in 8 seconds flat.  Every second counts when you've got a squirmy 10 month old trying to crawl away naked.  He's the love of my life and the most caring, thoughtful, loving, helpful, respectful, and considerate guy I know-not to mention the best daddy to Caleb.  Happy Father's Day Matt!  We LOVE you!
Below is a project Caleb and I worked on as part of his Father's Day gift.

1st Haircut

My little 10 month old has already gotten his first haircut.  Ugh!  1st haircut at 10 months old?!  I guess that's what happens when you're born with a head full of hair.  It was a sad day for this mommy, but I knew it had to be done and I was tired of all the comments about his hair needing to get cut...so I selflessly decided to get his bangs cut-at least I won't have to keep sweeping the hair out of his eyes anymore.

9 Months

Caleb just got his 9 month pictures taken and this time Daddy decided to join us-so we got some family pictures taken as well.  He's growing so fast and his personality is developing more and more each day.  He is quite the social butterfly-smiling at everyone he meets.  I took him on a walk the other day and he grinned at everyone who passed by.  I have no idea where he gets his extroversion from-we're both shy introverts.
