Exciting Changes for the Ramsey Family

We have exciting news to share!  No, unfortunately baby is NOT here yet...still waiting to share that exciting news.  Matt just got hired at Shasta County Mental Health as a Clinician!  This is such an answer to prayer as he's been looking for a way to better support our family and allow me to be able to stay home with the baby more often.  It will also allow us to have better health insurance coverage, which I am so thankful for!  We had heard that it usually takes 1-4 months to go through the entire hiring/application process, but once he interviewed it was a matter of a couple weeks!  He will be starting his new position mid-August and he is so excited!  He will be working with the Gatekeeper program, which is a referral program for senior citizens with mental illness (or suspected mental illness).  He will also be able to earn his hours towards getting his MFT license, which he was unable to earn with his previous job.  We are so excited and feel so blessed.  God continues to answer our prayers more abundantly than what we ask for!!  I am planning to continue working as a substitute teacher occasionally.  I enjoy being involved with the school and keeping my name out there for future job opportunities, but this will allow me to be home with baby more often which I am so thankful for.  Please continue to pray for us and all the changes coming our way soon (although all these changes are really exciting and everything we hoped and prayed for, Matt and I both have trouble adjusting to changes)!  :)

Maternity Pictures

So the little guy is almost a week late now and I'm getting REALLY bored waiting around for him, so I decided to add some pictures of our maternity photo session. We had these done at 36 weeks-seems like AGES ago!

40 Weeks!

I just entered the 40th week and man, do I feel HUGE!! Little man could come any day, but I'm in no rush. He'll come when he's ready! I am anxious to meet him, but enjoy feeling all his little kicks, rolls, and turns. I'm going to miss all his little movements, but I know once he's here I'll enjoy his movements even more than I do now. So far, I'm feeling great-sometimes a little uncomfortable depending on the position he's in and what internal organ/s he's sitting on! Also feeling a little uncoordinated and clumsy-dropping things and running into things. The most annoying thing is cooking dinner and seeing food smears across my belly from brushing up against dishes/food as I'm preparing dinner. Here's a picture of my enormously large belly @ 40 weeks!
